AIRBUS: PARAMOUNT AIRWAYS AGREES TO BUY 10 A321
Paramount Airways, an airline company based in Chennai (India), has signed a memorandum of agreement for an option to buy 10 additional aircraft. The company plans to use these aeroplanes to start up a number of international flights from Southern India. |

AIRBUS PICKS UP CONTRACTS WORTH $12.9 BILLION AT BOURGET
Airbus has signed numerous contracts at the Bourget Show for 127 aircraft worth $12.9 billion. A total of 58 are firm orders amounting to almost $6.4 billion, not to mention memorandums of understanding for 69 aircraft estimated to be worth another $6.5 billion. |

BEEHIVES ON THE ROOF OF THE BOURGET AIR TERMINAL
The roof of the Bourget air terminal will be hosting an increasing number of beehives. The apiary welcomed on 6 new beehives for “Buckfast” bees in May, which are a particularly hardworking, peaceful breed. The French Pilots’ Beekeeping Society looks after the apiary in Bourget. |
University of Queensland COz team wins the AIRBUS “Fly your ideas” challenge
A team of students from the University of Queensland (Australia) was awarded first prize for the Airbus "Fly your ideas" Challenge at the Paris Air Show in Bourget. Its project focused on using the castor plant to develop the first ever plant-based high-performance composite material. |
