HISTORIC AIRCRAFT in flight |
|
|
Sunday
To mark the hundredth anniversary of the Paris Air Show, this weekend's air
displays will feature thirty legendary planes designed between 1909 and the
1960s.
A hundred years after the first cross-Channel flight, the heroic period of
aviation history will be celebrated with flying displays by the Blériot XI-2, and, wind permitting, a Morane H and a Breguet XIV will come into
land on a specially-made grass runway.
A Junker 52, a DC3 Dakota and a Constellation will also take part in the air
displays.
Last but by no means least, the 2009 Show will see the evolution of the
Patrouille de France.

The Paris Air Show is open to the general public.
Of course trade visitors will still be welcome throughout this time.
Three sectors will be particularly affected by the change:
• The system of gates will be extended and the AWACS gate at the north of the exhibition ground will open.
• The shuttle service between the RER station and gate L3 will continue and two further shuttles will be added:
- between gate L3 and metro line 7, station "La Courneuve–8 mai 1945"
- between the AWACS gate and the carparks at the Villepinte exhibition centre.
These shuttle services are free of charge.
• The line of chalets is separate from the rest of the Show by a high fence in order to preserve its character as a trade area. All those wishing to access the chalets will be required to show a badge. If your guests have neither a badge nor a pass, we would ask you to arrange to meet them at one of the gates leading from the static area to the chalets, so that you can take them through IN PERSON and inform the security staff. |
